Welcome to us in South Sweden.

Our farm is next to Söderåsens National Park, in Skåne, famous for it´s beautiful beech forest with dramatic nature.

We offer riding for experienced riders in Söderåsens National Park.

Enjoy miles-wide views up on the heights of Skåne's “Grand Canyon”. The riding trails are miles long, the beech forest is beautiful and the terrain fantastic, it is like a fairy tale to explore Söderåsen National Park on horseback. We only take up to four people riding at a time as we want to offer personal and unique experiences in small groups.

We have large, spirited horses, great trails and beautiful nature. Only experienced riders and small groups of riders. You will have 13h in the saddle during 5 days. All meals included and also time for a half daytrip of of choice to see a bit more of Skåne.

Most of the meals are home cooked and are Swedish dishes. Ever tried home cooked Swedish meatballs or reindeer?

We (Sofia and Tomas) decided to leave the city heat in Stockholm and follow the dream of our own farm in the countryside. After a long search for our dream farm, we finally found it in Ljungbyhed, right next to Söderåsen national park in Scania, south Sweden. Since the summer of 2019, the two of us and a bunch of animals have been living here. Animals have always been a big part of our lives. At home we have always had a dog and at least one cat. And there has always been at least one horse in Sofias life. Sofia is born 1984 and started riding when she was six years old and has been riding for as long as she can remember. She has not competed but had several horses of her own and trained varied at the hobby level. She has worked extra at a riding school when she was younger. Her family had a stable at Stenings Castle (close to Stockholm) for some years were activities were conducted for children and their first contact with horses. She has studied equestrian knowledge, both riding and theory in everything from safety thinking for kids to feeding och horse behaivor. Tomas is used to horses and has ridden a lot when he was a young and have started again over the past year, and he is learning fast. Warmly welcome to us to experience large forward horses in amazing soroundings.

All our horses are well ridden former racing trotters, well behaving and forward. We have dressage saddles on all our horses

Comfortable Accommodation

The apartment is 90m2 with large 4 bed-bedroom, a 36m2 private terrace, a small kitchen with a dining place and a living room with a stove. The bath room was built in 2022

Route details

You arrive at the farm at 3pm for check-in.

4pm: We meet in the stable and make the horses ready for a 2h ride.

8 pm: Dinner.

Tour provider's comments

We have large, forward horses and alla tours will be between 12-22km long. You need to know how to handle a horse and be in a bit good shape to manage to not be to exhausted after 5 days in the saddle.

Terrace, fireplace and a view - a perfect holiday home.

Apartment is about 90m2 consisting of a large bedroom equipped with a 160 bed, a day bed that is 90 or 160 wide, a 140 bed and a 120 double bed.

Private entrance. Kitchen with room for six people with an open floor plan towards the living area, which is equipped with a sofa, a stove and a coffee table. The sofa can be made into a 140 bed.

The apartment has a bathroom that was completely renovated in April 2022. The apartment is not handicapped accessible as there is no elevator and it is located on the upper floor of the building.

There are some books and board games to borrow, perfect for an evening after a lovely horse ride.

We went on a weekend trip to Sofia's place with the horses from Copenhagen. The journey from Copenhagen took just 1.5 hours. Our time riding in Söderåsens Nationalpark was fantastic! Sofia's horses were well-mannered, even when we rode at a fast pace. This spot is ideal for experienced riders looking to have fun with horses and enjoy the stunning natural surroundings. The horses were lovely, the experience was amazing, and the scenery was beautiful. We will definitely return!

Het was een geweldige reis! Sofia is een goede gids en ze kent haar paarden goed. De paarden krijgen een uitstekende verzorging. De paarden zijn dynamisch, gezellig en betrouwbaar. Uitstekend!
