One night in the wilderness of Uruguay!

The Bañados or Eastern Wetlands are a biosphere reserve that was designated by UNESCO in June 1976 under the Man and the Biosphere Program. This area represents a variety of habitats found on Earth and showcases the sustainable exploitation of natural resources. Encompassing both terrestrial and maritime ecosystems in eastern Uruguay, the reserve is home to a diverse range of bird species, including sandpipers and field plovers, with a focus on nesting and conservation efforts.

Horse lovers since I remember, been and im around them as much as i can, love to go and explore nature riding my horses and share with pole that loves to discover the lovely nature that surrounds us!

Route details

We will begin our journey at our stables, where we will establish a connection with the horses before making our way down to the beach to reach Balneario Atlántica. The ride will last around 2 hours until we arrive at a refreshing eucalyptus forest. Upon arrival, a warm welcome awaits us with a bonfire in the afternoon. Guests can choose to relax in a campsite or accommodation based on their preferences.

Spending time with Sofia is a total must! You can hop on these gorgeous horses and cruise along beaches, sand dunes, and through canyons. These horses are top-notch, perfect for pros and totally safe for beginners. If you love nature and stunning views, you gotta check this spot out. It's close to La Pedrera, La Paloma, and Cabo Polonio. Such an epic time!!

It was absolutely fantastic! You could really sense that the horses mean everything to Sofia. She knows a ton about the area and even more about the magical world of horses, which she happily shared with us! She's a fascinating person with loads of great stories. She was an excellent guide, and I felt completely safe the whole time. The horses were also really calm and gentle! I definitely recommend it, and if you have a bit more time, I suggest asking for a longer ride like I did because it was so incredible. But I'm sure even the shorter rides are fantastic if you're short on time during your trip :)

We had an awesome time riding horses with Sofia and her fantastic horses. The scenery was stunning, and the company was great. Sofia really knows how to make it enjoyable. She takes safety seriously and wants you to have a blast on the adventure. We highly suggest trying out this experience, and big thanks to Sofia for two fantastic days!
