Transylvania is a region perfectly suited for equestrian exploration, providing an ideal way to discover its endless hills, meadows, and medieval villages.

Our journey commences at the Southern border of Transylvania, delving into the mystical South-eastern corner of this land. Covering nearly 200 km in a substantial loop back to Sinca Noua, we traverse hills and medieval villages. Along the route, we encounter some of Europe's most untouched rural landscapes, observing thousands of sheep grazing in the traditional manner in the hills, accompanied by a rich birdlife including lesser spotted eagles, bee-eaters, and hoopoes, among others. Simultaneously, we come across remnants of medieval culture, including 800-year-old fortified churches.

I am from Germany and studied Biology before becoming a part of the team. I have always been a passionate horse rider and worked as a guide in Spain before. The two things that draw me to the team are working with the amazing horses in this still very open and free landscape as well as exploring the nature with it`s wild touch just around the farm and in the Carpathian Mountains. I would love to take you on a little journey into the Transylvanian landscape in the best way possible – on horseback!

Guest House

Overnight in guesthouses or with local people on the way.

Attention: We are in rural Romania and the standard and comfort is not always very high. Some overnight stays are rather basic, others very cosy and nice. The tranquillity and slow pace of life in these villages makes up for the possible discomfort.

I spent a week-long vacation there as part of a group and enjoyed every minute of it! We rode every day through the beautiful and preserved countryside and forests of Transylvania. The horses were great, well trained and assertive and were a pleasure to ride. Our guides were very friendly and helpful, always making sure everyone had a good time regardless of our riding ability. We all felt at home immediately! The food was excellent, made with fresh local produce and the rooms were comfortable, overlooking the stables. Dinners and conversations with other guests in the evenings on the terrace were also very enjoyable, reminding me of those long summer evenings when I was a kid. I came home with hundreds of photos and very happy memories of an unforgettable vacation!!!

I loved that place. Went there to ride at the end of summer this year. The horses and guides are awesome, and the guest house has everything you need for a nice vacation. The food was really good, fresh Romanian cuisine. Always with soup, dessert and delicious regional wine. The team is great and you are left with a good impression of their work to create a huge national park for conservation. They take great care of the land, the culture, the people and of course their horses! Everything is in very good condition and behaves very well.
