Join us on a breath-taking trail ride in the Bihar mountains, part of Apuseni mountains situated in western Transylvania. This region is a part of the Carpathian Mountains. The scenic view, the rich biodiversity and the great wilderness, yet untouched by human civilization, is home to great adventures and unforgettable experiences. Our aim is to guide all adventure lovers to a ’once in a lifetime’ opportunity to plunge into the picturesque beauty that the mountain offers. The Bihar mountain is home to many species of mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and fish. It is not uncommon to even see large predators like bears. These mountains have a strong fragmentation on a complicated assembly of calcareous rocks, sandstones that makes the trail even more challenging. Our single base trail ride always starts from Padis and we approach the mountain from a different angle every day.

During our riding tours you can discover the landscape while, riding on the horses of the Hungarian warriors, the legendary Akhal Teke. This is the breed which is unseparable from our history, and which is famous for its special comfort. Not only the horses, but also our saddles are special: They are handcrafted by the Cseppentő family, modernized for today’s riding needs and horses. They are extremely safe and comfortable, proven to be extremely usable during the tours of recent years. For those who are interested in the Akhal Teke breed or in our saddles, this tour or its short version provides a good opportunity to try them and get acquainted with the saddle.

Accommodation will be provided in individual wooden houses (en suite with double bed).
The dining area is a large spacious common space, right across the houses, in a close range. The meals will beserved here, lunch will be prepared freshly in the morning, dinners will be hot meals.
The common area is also equipped with a sauna and a smaller swimming pool (inside).
Wifi and phone signal also available.

Meals: The meals are based on regional cuisine. Romanian cuisine is a diverse blend of different dishes from several traditions with which it has come into contact, the Turks brought meatballs (perișoare in a meatball soup), from the Greeks there is musaca, from the Austrians there is the șnițel, and the list may be continued. The Romanians have many types of food in common with countries in the Balkan area and the former Austro-Hungarian Empire.

Breakfast: coffee/tea/water, butter, cheese, jam, pastries, ham and eggs, vegetables Lunch: mainly picnic (sandwich, fruits, dried fruits and mixed nuts, chocolate), water/juice/coffee; one lunch will be a hot meal on the third day (soup, goulash, minutes – French fries, barbecue, salads).
Dinner: hot meal – soup, a second course and dessert. A glass of beer/wine/spirit/fruit juice is also included.
