My journey began with a dream to explore the world, starting with my beloved Mongolia. Having almost completed this adventure, I transitioned into the role of a social media marketer at our company in 2019. It's been a thrilling experience to witness the joy and excitement in the eyes of my guests as they discover the pristine landscapes and immerse themselves in our captivating history. At our company, trust and reliability are our cornerstones. We strive to provide an experience that's not just about visiting places, but about forging connections with the heart of Mongolia. It's an honor to introduce travelers to the raw beauty and rich heritage of my native land. Welcome to Mongolia, a land where ancient history meets untouched wilderness. As the proud owner of a family travel tourism company, my love for exploration and showcasing the beauty of my homeland runs deep. Having traversed the vast landscapes and absorbed the rich history myself, I understand the yearning for authentic, secure travel experiences.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

To help you prepare your trip to Mongolia we have summarized “the must” of what you should carry with you:

  • Warm and thin cloth. Air temperature can change very quickly in Mongolia
  • Raincoat
  • Polar jacket – warm jumper
  • Horse riding pants or any other comfortable pants such as hiking pants or jogging. Avoid pants with seams at the crotch, this could lead to skin irritation when riding
  • Underwear: if possible avoid synthetic underwear, the saddle rub can lead to skin irritation
  • Hiking/riding shoes if possible waterproof. We have chaps at the camp that you are welcome to use.
  • Drap sac for the inside of the sleeping bag
  • Hat, sunglasses and sun screen
  • Head lamp
  • Towel
  • Small medical kit: plasters, painkillers, stomach/diarrhea/constipation drugs, broad-spectrum antibiotics, disinfectant, eye drops, insect bite cream.

Optional:

  • Horse riding gloves
  • Warm socks, thermic tights
  • Wool cap, scarf, gloves for cold nights
  • Swimsuit
  • Biodegradable soap/shampoo
  • Wipes to clean off the dust
  • Antibacterial gel
  • Mosquito repellent spray, tick repellent spray (April – May, all summer for Lake Huvsgul)
  • Small gifts for nomadic families. Hospitality is very important in Mongolian culture and families will welcome you in their ger with tea and sometimes food. Giving small gifts as a way of thanking them is part of the culture. Gift ideas: small toys, pencils, notebooks, samples of perfume, make-up, cream, small gadgets like flashlights, candy etc.

People going on treks, not solo-trekkers, will be provided with:

  • Helmet
  • Half-chaps
  • Sleeping bag
  • Sleeping pad
  • Tent

We highly recommend that you bring waterproof bags for all your belongings, as the tents and packing bags provided are not waterproof. It's important to be prepared for rain and riding through rivers and deep mud. Additionally, it's advisable to bring your own sleeping bag and insulation mat. Lastly, don't forget to bring a water filter for your trip.

BE AWARE: it happens that luggage is delayed when flying to Mongolia. If possible carry a change of clothes in your hand luggage.

Well what a surprise, I had a wonderful time too, despite the short duration of my stay! It provided me with a good glimpse into the life of Mongol/nomads. The team was well organized; the family team was hospitable, and I was impressed by the thoroughness and attention to detail of the business. It was the perfect introduction to Mongolia and horseback riding! All the best.

I also want to express my gratitude to Mendee for maintaining the camp and Baynaa for her fantastic cooking and lovely smiles. My wife and I had an incredible experience, one of the best we've ever had. It was a bit challenging for me, riding 30-40 km daily, and my wife is more experienced than me. Despite that, I enjoy challenges and this was just what I needed after two years of city life in Korea. Under the guidance of Rinston, our three-person team took care of all the arrangements and constantly checked in with us to ensure we were comfortable with the tasks. We are already thinking about returning to ride with this team again in the future.
