I am a qualified British Horse Society riding instructor and owned and managed a busy equestrian centre in the South of England, for 25 years, with my husband Johnny - a professional show jumping rider. We had 70 horses, more than 200 riders of all levels training with us. Johnny has jumped Internationally and represented GB on teams in Europe. Our training centre specialised in show jumping training, and I coached the regional Pony Club team to be National Champions in 2000.
In 2005 we moved to SW France, near Bordeaux.
We have downsized our business and now offer bespoke horse riding for individuals and small groups in this beautiful part of France.
Bringing our skill and experience we have a select group of lovely horses for our guests to ride in lessons.
All levels of rider are welcome, we offer individual training sessions both mounted and on the ground. Riders are taught to handle the horses, grooming, tacking up and even lunging their horse before the ridden session.
We offer all in accommodation in our on site modern house. Excellent fresh local produce is used in the cooking of the meals, and of course a great choice of wine!
We can help with any extra requests - local Chateaux tours, wine tasting and suggestions for local restaurants.

Johnny
Johnny is a former international show jumping rider, he has won all over the UK on a wide variety of horses, and he represented Great Britain on teams.
Now retired from competition he works with riders that are keen to improve their flat work and jumping skills. He also coaches riders with their own horses, helping them to correctly train and school young horses - to aim them at competition.
Johnny is a fun and disciplined trainer, he uses exercises and poles to encourage accuracy and clear thinking in the riders.

The property is in a secluded area of countryside, just 4kms from the local town of Coutras, and 1km from the small village of Guitres. The house ‘Guillot’ sits in an acre of grass and garden, it is a wonderful, tranquil place where only the wildlife and the occasional horse call can be heard.
The guest accommodation is situated on the ground floor of our family home. It consists of a large central kitchen diner, where the meals are provided, freshly cooked using great local ingredients.
Vegetarian and vegan meals available, and any special requests can be catered for. Local wines are served with the evening meal.
Bedroom 1 is a spacious studio with King bed and en suite bathroom/shower. There is air conditioning, a fridge, hairdryer, fan and an outside terrace with jacuzzi.
Bedroom 2 is a double bedroom with adjacency bathroom/shower. There is a hair dryer and a fan.
Guests are requested to go out for lunch, there are local restaurants, an excellent supermarket, and of course nearby St Emilion for a treat!
