I was born in Düsseldorf and I was very lucky that my uncle owned a riding school, so I discovered my love of horses as a child. I took my first riding lessons at the age of 9. When I arrived in the Dominican Republic, I fulfilled my dream of owning my own horse. From 2 horses at the beginning, I now have 27 horses! Horses play a very important role in my life. They are my best friends and treating them with love and respect is a matter of course for me. The idea of horse riding excursions came about by chance through my work as a tour guide. My guests were increasingly asking for riding opportunities on healthy and well-fed horses, preferably in small groups. Naturally, it made sense to offer these rides on my own horses. It always gives me great pleasure to explore the beautiful landscape of the Dominican Republic on horseback, far away from mass tourism. I am happy to share this fantastic experience with all interested people, nature and horse lovers.

It's important to know

Tell me about your horses

The horses primarily consist of Dominican Republic Criollo and some mixed breeds, known for their exceptional ruggedness, good manners and responsiveness. They are well-adapted to the trails in their area, often boasting smooth trots traditionally ridden in a seated position. While two of the larger horses are equipped with Western saddles, the rest utilize Wintec English-style saddles. Trained in Western style, they respond well to neck reining and shifts in weight. Their pace varies from leisurely walking in steep areas to desired speeds on expansive beaches. Overall, these horses possess a pleasant demeanor, are skilled and exhibit an excellent work ethic.
