This journey spans six days, exploring the captivating landscapes of this mountainous region—marked by towering peaks, deep river gorges, distinctive rock formations, verdant meadows, and dense forests. Our expedition unfolds in the western part of the Rhodopes, offering a diverse range of terrains that cater to various riding styles and speeds. Along the way, we venture into secluded villages, immersing ourselves in the warm hospitality of local residents, savoring their traditional cuisine, and indulging in exceptional wines. Additionally, we set aside time to explore Plovdiv, Europe's oldest continuously inhabited city and the designated European Capital of Culture in 2019.

The horses were well-trained and suitable for riders of all levels. The scenery was breathtaking, whether through villages, forests, or along mountain ridges. Accommodation at Guest House in Lopyan was clean and comfortable, with delicious food that accommodated my vegetarian diet. Our guide, Nikolay, was friendly, punctual, and provided excellent service.
