Situated in the midst of lush tropical nature, our farm hotel offers riders (and non-riding companions) a variety of options for an exiting holiday. You can choose your itinerary individually according to your preferences and riding skills.

Our rides lead through the Atlantic rain forest and green plantations, into the mountains with wonderful views of the sea or to hidden, idyllic streams and waterfalls. Longer rides to the sea with endless white sand beaches and to the lagoon as well as 2-day rides are also possible.

In addition, a varied excursion program is offered.

At our farm hotel, located in the state of Rio de Janeiro, I am operating and organizing horse riding vacations and excursions for 17 years already with my team. I own 11 Mangalarga horses, famos for their forth gear named "marcha", waiting for you to discover our beautiful surrounding such as the atlantic rain forest, the lagoon or the nearby sea.

Route details

Tour of our estate and getting to know our horses of the Brazilian breed Mangalarga Marchador. Introduction to the riding style and gait Marcha, similar to Tölt. Relaxation by the pool or in the hammock. Tasty dinner at our varanda.

Our farm hotel is nestled amidst lush tropical vegetation, just 80km from Rio de Janeiro and 8km from the beaches of Saquarema. The 13-hectare grounds, set at the foot of the mountains, offer a beautiful view of the surrounding areas – rainforests, fruit plantations and pastures.

Despite the quiet location, our hotel also has an excellent infrastructure. In Saquarema and Bacaxá, the small cities nearby, there are many shopping options – boutiques, supermarkets and a weekly market – as well as clinics, banks, a post office, restaurants and bars.

There’s a vibrant nightlife scene, an artisans’ market at the weekends, discos and live music. We can offer you an extensive range of excursions and airport transfer. There is a bus stop just 200m from the hotel with connections to the centre of Rio de Janeiro (90 min) every half-hour, as well as regular services to Saquarema (20 min) and Bacaxá (10min).

All-rounded service including pick-up, guided horse riding and first hand information about the country. Really enjoyed the trip. People there are very friendly. The place itself is very beautiful and silent. if you enjoy horse riding or even if you have never done it before, go for it!

We came here as a group of 6 experienced riders. Reinhard and Claudia patiently answered all of our questions in advance and put together an individual, varied program for our 14-day stay. Riding was on the agenda for 7 days. This also includes a 2-day ride with beach gallops. The horses are very sure-footed, good-natured and persistent. A colorful program was created for us on the riding-free days. Trips to the sea, a visit to a weekly market, a boat tour in the nature reserve, a jeep tour to lofty heights. This was the starting point for our paragliding tour!!! Also an unforgettable experience. So an all-round adventurous and well-organized tour. The always delicious and freshly prepared food for us should not go unmentioned.

The small, cozy and familiar fazenda is located about 80km north of Rio in the middle of a wonderful landscape. It is run by a German family and is designed with great attention to detail. The rooms are big and tidy. The highlight is certainly the horses, which we immediately fell in love with and with which, depending on ability, we can go on accompanied rides of different lengths. For non-riders, individual excursions off the beaten path are offered, for example to Saquarema (beach, market, lagoon) or to Rio with its numerous sights. An airport transfer was also organized for us. The delicious food is lovingly prepared, fresh, plentiful and organic. Even special requests were taken into account. For relaxation we had access to, among other things, a botanical path, a pool, a steam room and a pool table. In addition to the horses and riding, our 6-year-old daughter was particularly enthusiastic about the numerous play options (e.g. "Tarzan track", climbing wall) and the proximity to nature. There are chickens, ducks and a turtle to admire, and she was also able to help harvest some fruits. Overall we felt very comfortable. It was a fantastic stay that we can only warmly recommend.
